Privacy policy

Effective September 9, 2026 · Rowdio, rowdio.app

Rowdio helps organizers run events and helps guests sign up for them. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who sees it. It applies to rowdio.app and the pages, messages, and files Rowdio produces for events.

What we collect

  • From organizers: name, email, mobile number, organization details, and payout information you give our payment processor. We never see or store full card or bank numbers.
  • From guests and registrants: whatever the registration form asks for, typically name, mobile number, email, shirt size, team members’ names, headcount, and notes such as allergies. You choose what to enter.
  • From sponsors: company name, contact details, and a logo.
  • Automatically: the page you registered on, the time, your IP address for consent records, and basic usage data such as browser type and pages visited. We use a session cookie for signed-in organizers and a small number of preference cookies. We do not run advertising trackers.

How we use it

  • To run the event: confirm registrations, build rosters and tee sheets, take payment, and show organizers who is coming.
  • To communicate about that event: confirmations, reminders, day-of updates, receipts, and a follow-up afterward, by email and, if you opted in, by text.
  • To keep a record of consent, refunds, and receipts, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To support you when you write to us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use registration data to advertise other events to you unless you asked us to.

Who sees it

  • The organizer of the event you registered for. They see what you entered on their form, including notes you wrote for them. They are responsible for how they use it.
  • Service providers that operate the product on our behalf: payment processing (Stripe), text messaging (Twilio), email delivery (Resend), sign-in for organizers (Clerk), and hosting. Each receives only what it needs.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.

Text messages

When you opt in to text messages from Rowdio or from an event organizer using Rowdio, we use your mobile number to send messages about events you registered for. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Full details are in the SMS terms.

Children

Rowdio is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Parents may enter limited information about their children, such as a first name or an allergy, so an organizer can plan safely. Organizers should collect only what the event needs. If you believe a child has provided information to us directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Keeping and deleting it

Registration and payment records are kept for as long as the organizer keeps the event, and as long as we need them for receipts, disputes, and tax records. You can ask us to delete your personal information, and we will, unless we must keep a record for a legal or financial reason, in which case we keep only that record.

Security

Traffic is encrypted, access to data is limited to people who need it, and payment details are handled entirely by our payment processor. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects you.

Your choices

  • Email help@rowdio.app to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, tell organizers by email. Questions go to help@rowdio.app.
